In cooperation with the lead partner Zemgale Planning Region and five other partners from Zemgale, Aizkraukle Municipality participated in the project “Development of the Business Environment in Zemgale and Promotion of Entrepreneur Competitiveness,” SMEPRO 2.
Under this project, Aizkraukle Municipality received funding for:
- Furnishing and equipping a coworking space at Lāčplēša Street 4, Aizkraukle
- Organizing the “Entrepreneurs’ Days 2023” event
- Purchasing tents and canopies for participation in exhibitions and other public events
The coworking space, located on the ground floor of Lāčplēša Street 4, was created to bring together entrepreneurs, professionals, NGO representatives, individual business owners, creative industry players, students, and youth. It offers a space for work, events, workshops, idea sharing, and collaboration.
The SMEPRO 2 project was implemented within the 2014–2020 Cross-Border Cooperation Programme and co-financed by the European Union.
